I also like the idea: If you're not interested in open technologies, you're not paying attention.
Have you seen any discussion of OpenDocument Format in Denmark?

This was a very nice summary of key issues raised at the conference. They haven´t, but instead they have created there own standard, Office Open XML. The argument is compatibility with former versions.
Microsoft apparently had a hard time defending this standard on a Danish Linux Conference, http://www.computerworld.dk/art/32984?a=rss&i=0

I asked Microsoft if they had considered ODF in Office 2007. There is an ODF debate, and it seems increasing. SSLUG (a Danish/Swedish Linux User group, http://www.sslug.dk/front/sidstenyt.rss) has several comments on the subject. And it seems like the vendors are paying attention as well, probably because of customer demand. My world is very Microsoft influenced all though it is a public company, but there is a focus on licence cost, and that could lead to a change over time.

And thank you for your very interesting contribution on the conference.
